It's autumn time, it's autumn time...

As I've been driving around running kids to doctors appointments and doing various errands, I've been enjoying the AMAZING colors that are everywhere. Aren't they beautiful? I feel like stopping at every tree to take a picture. I realize that's not feasible, so I keep driving. But what an amazing autumn we are having this year! I love the bright reds, yellows, and oranges, with a few greens here and there.

I can't help but think how blessed we are to have such a beautiful world to live in!
It reminds me of that primary song

My Heavenly Father Loves me....

Whenever I hear the song of a bird, or look at the blue, blue sky.

Whenever feel the rain on my face, or the wind as it rushes by.

Whenever I touch a velvet rose, or walk by a lilac tree;

I'm glad that I live in this beautiful world,

Heavenly Father created for me.

He gave me my eyes that I might see, the color of butterfly wings.

He gave me my life, my mind, my heart;

I thank Him reverently.

For all His creations of which I'm a part;

Yes I know Heavenly Father loves me.

Heavenly Father must really love us! What beauty!

As we're driving I slow down and the kids ask me, "Mom why are you going so slow?" I tell them, "I'm enjoying these amazing colors!"
So drive a little slower! Enjoy these great colors while they last! You know it won't be much longer until the leaves fall and the snow and cold hit hard. Enjoy it while you can!

I had to include these cute pictures from a recent photo shoot. The colors are just so remarkable!

There's lots more pictures....CLICK HERE TO VIEW MORE on Pink Daffodil Photography.

Blue Lightning....

At the end of last spring, Ethan was done with soccer. He had officially lost his interest and seemed downright bored with soccer. So we decided not to sign him up again with the same league.

Well, a lot happened since then. Ethan got his tonsils out in the spring, had some healing time, and when September rolled around, he said, "When's my soccer game?"

At first I thought, oh, he wants to play because he sees his brother getting a cool drink and treat after each game, and he just wants that. But after further investigation, he really did just want to play!

Well, then I felt bad I hadn't signed him up to play. So I found another league that he could still sign up for. It's a shorter season because they play 2 games per week, but we thought we'd give it a try.

There were pros and cons to this league.

Cons...it was like Ethan stepped back in time 2 years and was playing on that skill level. None of the other kids on his team really knew how to play or were afraid of the ball. Games were also played on a smaller field.

Pros...Ethan was the star of the team!!! He played like I've never seen him play before! He was more aggressive than ever!I'd never seen him run so fast! He was running back and forth from goal to goal attacking that ball!

He even fell several times trying to get the ball and would jump up and run some more!

He wasn't afraid of bigger players or a little contact! He went after that ball no matter what!

He even scored 3 goals this season! WOW! He scored the FIRST goal for his team at the FIRST game. He'd only been in the game about 1 minute and GOOOOOOAAAAALLLLL!! I was needless to say a crazy screaming Mommy!

So after 4 short weeks, the Blue Lightning team was done. And of course they ended with a trophy. Yes, it was dark when his game ended!!!
We're so proud of Ethan! I think next season we'll be a little more eager to sign him up!

Great season Ethan!!! Love you!

The many sides of Sadie...

What else can you do, but love this sweet girl? She's filled with new surprises everyday.
Thought I'd share a few...

So Sadie's been really into BandAid's lately. Every time she falls, stubs her toe, bumps her elbow, she demands a BandAid. I've been through boxes and boxes of them. So recently her lips were a little chapped. Of course, she had to have a BandAid!!!
I tried to help her understand that the BandAid probably would not stay and how would she talk or eat with it. She insisted that she needed one. I tell her, you are not bleeding, so you don't need one. Now she tells me, "Mom, I need a Bannaid, I beeding." How can you say no to that?

During General Conference we rediscovered the markers, crayons, and "quiet" toys. She loved drawing, coloring and being so grown up like her brothers. It was VERY quiet and I did hear most of conference. Then it got a little too quiet...this is what I found....

It's so hard to be mad! She's so cute! I did have to bathe her. She had marker on her neck, clothes...yeah...she "clolored so pretty!!" (she adds that extra l in colored)

And the latest is that Sadie has been very attached to her baby. If you ask her what her babies name is, she gets very upset and yells...."B-A-B-Y!!!!" She goes everywhere with baby. So at Ethan's soccer game, I was trying to juggle the water bottles, the chairs and the camera and she wanted me to hold her baby. I told her we need to figure out another way. So we improvised with the handy dandy jacket carrier!There's always something exciting happening with Sadie. Sometimes I wanna scream I'm so frustrated, (ok, sometimes I really do.) but I'm immediately reminded what a sweetheart I've got here.

In fact just now, Sadie walked up and saw her picture and said, "Oh look, there's my Sadie and my baby." "WHERE'S MY BABY!!!!!????"

Hope you enjoy a little peek into the several sides of Sadie...I've gotta go find "baby". :)

A cute website entitled Today's Mama asked if they could highlight me for breast cancer awareness month... I agreed. So if you want to check out my "Dream Big" page, just click HERE.

Scooter Mania!!

I know I'm a little behind in blogging, so much happening so little time!

So a couple of weeks ago I found the most adorable little scooter for Sadie. She's been asking me ALL summer for a scooter or a bike and I just didn't find the right one. So finally, (at the END of the summer, of course) I found the perfect princess scooter! And the cool helmet elbow knee-pad set to match. We spent some time putting it together and then it was outside we went.

She is SOOOO proud of her new scooter! She carried it all around the house and asked if she could sleep with it in her bed! For several days the scooter was ALWAYS in her sight. And if ever she wanted to ride, she HAD to have all the gear on!

So then while riding, the greatest thing happened. She was scooting along, when out of the blue she pushed off with one foot and with the other did a beautiful arabesque! (for those of you who aren't up on the dance terms, that's balancing with one leg extended behind you)

I can't tell you how proud I was to see the little dancer in her!! I'm looking forward to her 3rd birthday when I can officially enroll her in dance class. She's a natural already.

So even though today was a RAINY day...I look back on this fun day and smile! :) Sadie is my little ray of sunshine. She scoots sunshine right into my heart! Don't ya just love her?

P.S. Thanks Robyn for helping me remember I needed to blog about this today!
