Photo Treasure Hunting

One afternoon I needed to check out a couple of locations for photo shoots.  I took all the kids with me thinking...oh great, this is going to be tough lugging around all three of them today!  Boy was I wrong!!  Not only did I find some AWESOME spots, but got some really fun pictures of all the kids.

This is Ethan...

I just love these of Sadie...

They had fun wrestling with each other and being goofy...

And I owe the discovery of the "red bridge" to Spencer and Ethan.  I told them to run in the field and let me know if they see something good.  The both came running back..."Mom! Mom! Mom!  There's a really cool bridge.  You will totally love it.  It's perfect for your photo shoots!"  And yes, sure enough, it's now one of my favorite spots!

So thanks Spencer, Sadie and Ethan for coming along on our "treasure hunt" and finding some awesome photo locations!  Love you!

Sadie and all her Cuteness...

So I know I take a lot of pictures of Sadie.  Can you blame me?  She's just so stinkin' cute.  Well, and she's at home with me all day, so anytime I am checking photo locations, practicing a new skill, or just feel like taking pictures, Sadie is always there to help me out.

Here's Sadie helping me decide what location I should use for my fall mini sessions...

This was the first time trying to curl Sadie's hair since the lovely haircutting incident in August.  We just had to document the cute do!

Most mornings I get Sadie her breakfast and then head back upstairs to work on the computer.  A little later, I came down to check on her and found this beautiful picnic all laid out.  Come on people...seriously...isn't this the cutest?!!!

For the month of October, Sadie's pre-school class took a field trip to Gardner Village.  We went on a "witch" hunt and had a ball!  Then we all ate lunch together and shared some yummy donuts.  Sadie still LOVES her preschool class.

I'm so glad I get another year home with this little cutie before she starts Kindergarten.  It's funny, usually people say that your first child is the most photographed because there are no others to take pictures of.  Well, in Sadie's case it's the exact opposite!  Having 2 older brothers at school all day and a photo crazy Mom means photos, and photos GALORE!

Two Cub Scouts

Since Ethan turned 8 in June, both Spencer and Ethan have been in Cub Scouts together.  I know what your thinking, great, double the work for me.  Now I have to earn my Wolf AND my Webelos this year!  But really the boys have been working hard!  Ethan earned his Bobcat over the summer and Spencer earned his Webelos!  Spencer will also be getting his Arrow of Light in January.  Awesome boys!

Time for Change

The leaves are changing and so am I...

I've been really grateful to be able to grow my hair out close to the length it was about 7 years ago....before the lovely haircut provided by chemo.  And now, time for change, but on MY terms.  I loved the long hair, but I found myself pulling it back all the time because it seemed to always be in my way.

Here's before:

After:

And my cute photographer friend Denise took a couple pics of the new "do".

I'm really loving the quick styling.  It takes a lot less time to get ready which means I actually do my hair instead of hiding it in a pony tail everyday.

More change...

So I've been really slacking off with eating healthy lately.  I'm resolving to eat better and exercise more regularly.  If I write it down it's official!  So wish me luck!

I've set a goal to clean out every closet, every cupboard, every junk pile by the end of the year.  We've lived here almost 5 years and it's time.  I felt pretty good about myself for pulling everything out of the pantry yesterday and getting rid of those old cans of food that expired in 2003? Yeah, I don't think we're going to eat those.

And finally, I've set another goal to hang up more pictures.  Do you have pictures that are just sitting around your house waiting to be hung?  Or maybe they are still on your computer and you need to print them.  Well I have A LOT like that.  It's time.  Time for change.  I've ordered a 24x30 Canvas Gallery wrap of my kids and I can't wait to get it...AND.. hang it up.  P.S.  Pink Daffodil Photography is having fall mini sessions...for CHEAP.  If you need family pictures...click here and check out the deals.

So that's pretty much it.  Happy Fall!  Minus the cold...brrr...I don't like cold.

Soccer, soccer and more soccer

This fall both boys are playing soccer.  Their games are actually getting really competitive and entertaining to watch.  As opposed to the earlier years where all players crowed around the ball and tried to kick it.  Now, they play real positions, plan real plays, and even "head" the ball.  And one of the perks of being a photographer is the team decides I should take the team pics..YAY!  Saves me a bunch of money!

Ethan is getting really agressive on the field..it's super fun to watch...

The weather this fall was surprisingly wonderful.  We only had 1 game that was a little chilly.  We'll see what the spring will bring!!
