So I was looking back on my blog the other night and realized something. I happen to do a lot more blogs about my little girl than about my boys. Why? I guess I'm around the little girl 24/7 and she is a laugh a minute. But I must try to be fair and grant each child equal blog time. So this one is about Spencer. He's such an awesome kid!
The Jr. Jazz basketball season started in full swing just before Christmas break. And then after taking a 2 week break, we're back to weekly games and practices. Spencer is a good player. (and he's pretty handsome too...)
One of my favorite things that makes Spencer so exciting to watch is the silly things he does in between shots. Like the picture below...if there were sound attached to the picture you would hear, (woo hoo, all right, oh yeah baby!) followed by a little victory dance. Spencer is very entertaining to watch. Sometimes it's just downright gut-busting.
Spencer's team probably has the all-time, lowest scoring, most losses, ever recorded in Jr. Jazz history. Every game they have lost by at least 30 points. But that doesn't stop these guys! They give it their all every time. Including Spencer. He does a really great job at defending and has even made a couple of baskets this season.I'm so lucky to have a son that gives me comic relief while watching sports. I'm not a huge sports fan to begin with and I have trouble sitting still very long. So thank you Spencer, you're such a great kid. Eat your heart out Kirilenko...Spencer is here!!!

Kiralenko is TOTALLY injured right now....he could get a "sub" job right away! I dunno...just sayin'
I want to see his victory dance sometime. Erin, He probably got his sweet dance moves from you.
He looks like he is having fun and I guess that is all that matters right? Its good he hasn't realized that some people think that winning is what it is all about...thats when the fun is taken out of sports. Oh and in regards to Lara's comment, who isn't injured on the Jazz?
LOL! I can totally picture Spencer making those sounds and movements. He is a silly kid. Lexi's team isn't much better. Although, the point spread is a little closer. As long as they are having fun I guess it doesn't really matter.
I'm with you about the sports. My boys are teaching me a lot and giving me plenty of opportunities to practice focusing on the game. They hate it when I bring a book or try to write my grocery list while they are playing. Ooops!
I love Spencer's moves -- it makes watching sports alot more fun. What a great kid. I love watching him be gentle and protective of Sadie (and any other little kid for that matter). And his great comic relief -- he told us a whole string of funny jokes the other night. Maybe he'll grow up and do stand up . . .
I love the kids that can smile amidst a real butt kicking. I also love to see kids cheer for themselves. I do it all the time on the basketball court...cheer for myself I mean. I have always done it and I embarrass myself sometimes too. Its such a habit. Now I see my own kids cheering for themselves. Haa
LOL, that cracks me up:) The Donny and Marie moment has come full circle! You are right! I totally remember when you and Carrie taught us the Little bit Country/Rock and Roll song and none of us had any idea what you were talking about.
Hey there! Ok, ok...i finally got some time to upload all of the awesome pics you took and there's officially on the blog! :D I love that you have cute posts for each of your kids...it's sooo fun! Sometimes I think I talk about our baby too much, but then I realize how much I love reading about everyone else's kids, and I think, "maybe they like reading about mine too!"
