Happy 4th of July!!!!!

Ok. So isn't my nephew Brayden just adorable? He is the perfect poster child for this 4th of July fun filled day..... My family came over for an old fashioned 4th of July BBQ.

It all started with water, lots and lots of water. Sadie could not get enough of the hose, the water guns, the trampoline and yes, more water. She loved wearing her new "py appol" swimsuit. I could barely get her to take it off that night to go to bed!
But doesn't she look adorable?? And no diaper!! Yay! For the past week Sadie has been going on the potty 75% of the time. There is still room for improvement, but Mommy is very, very proud! Sadie also LOVED playing with her little cousin McKenzee. The two of them went everywhere together and loved playing more "girlie" things. Later, they were into the shoes and purses, of course!
While the little girls did their thing, the boys got into the water BIG! Water guns, hoses, anything you could arm yourself with! And Uncle Cory was a serious threat! Wouldn't you be afraid of a 6'5" guy running at your with a super soaker? Spencer, Ethan, and their cousin Kelton enjoyed running from Cory and Matt. I'm not sure who won, but when it was all over, no one was dry!!!
Meanwhile, back inside, the rest of us girls were having fun with the little ones and giggling and being silly. Kenzee and Sadie continued to be attached at the hip and played "house" in the little kitchen. They are both learning about going on the potty and the funniest thing happened. I took Sadie to the potty and left to the other room to grab some shorts for her and when I came back, little Kenzee was helping Sadie wipe! The little conversation they were having was priceless. If only there was time for a video camera. Kenzee saying, "Ok Sadie, you all done?" Sadie replying "Yeah, I all done, I go potty like a big girl." The two of them together were hilarious!!! Kenzee got worn out and needed a little cuddle time with her Dad (Nate). Aren't they sweet? And Brittany and Danielle are the true camera posers! Grandma couldn't get enough of baby Brayden either...well, no one could...what a cutie!
Later in the evening we went outside for a fireworks extravaganza!!! You would not believe the amount of fireworks being launched! Every neighbor up and down our street had their own displays going and then some neighbors were brave and launched their big illegal fireworks. It was awesome! Matt and I managed to climb up on the roof for an outstanding view. We could see fireworks going off all across the valley. We paused and had one of those " AAWWWE CUTE" moments; sealed it with a kiss, and then it was back to the group.

The 4th of July was a fun one this year. Hope to have many more fun ones like this!!!

How fun! I love everything about July 4th...it's seriously just as magical to me as Christmas...plus it's warm outside!

I love your picture collages because they are always so colorful. It looks like your family is awfully colorful too. I love how you and Matt have to climb up on the roof to have a moment to yourselves. Looks like a great holiday weekend at the Gadds.

I love all your pictures. I also love that you comment. I love checking my blog and finding one. It's like a little present. I think Rachelle commented on mine too - she said she found it through yours. Does she have one and maybe you could ask her to let me on - it's blocked except to invited people. Thanks.
